Genesis Global School organized a theatric performance “The Golden Fish” by V.K and his theatre group “Khilona” at its impressive Multipurpose Hall on 30th July ’10. The Group “Khilona” is the First professional theatre group which presents plays for children with adult actors. The Group is one of the Oldest and was formed in 1989 and has been staging plays since then.

The Play is based on a poem titled “A Tale of the Fisherman & the Golden Fish” by the Great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. It is the Story of an old fisherman living on the Sea-shore with his wife. One day he happens to catch a golden fish who speaks like a human. The Fish continues to grant all the Wishes of the Fisherman’s wife except for the Last one which forces her to withdraw all that she had bestowed upon the Greedy woman.

Students from various other schools attended the Function and cheered enthusiastically to the Performance. The Involvement of children played a vital role in keeping them captivated throughout the Performance. Neighboring schools like Step by Step, Ahlcon International School, The Shriram Millennium School and Kothari International school were a few participating names, that attended the Function and thereafter found themselves engrossed in a creative interaction with the Khilona Team.
