SOF International Science Olympiad 2021-22
Congratulating GGS students Saavi Bhasin, Atharva Kushwaha, Rashmi Nair, Ayan Azad and Aneysha Aggarwal for bagging the Gold Medal of Excellence in the SOF International Science Olympiad conducted during session 2021-22.
IPSC IT Fest 2021
Congratulating Grade 11 students Shaurya Ahuja and Arpita Rathi for bagging the 3rd prize in the activity PAIK- Cyber Themed Writing Installation, at the IPSC IT Fest 2021 – “White Noise 2K21” organised by B. K. Birla Centre for Education, Pune.
As a Two member team, one student was required to combine a pen drive or hard disk, a computer-mouse and sticky notes of any colour, a pen, smart pen or pencil to create a thematic art piece based on the topic shared at the beginning of the session. The second team member was to write a five-line piece responding to the art work. The students then submitted a COMBINED slideshow of 5 photographs …3 photographs-1 black white, 1 coloured and 1 treated with photo-editing tools along with one typed and one handwritten note of the writing piece.
Verbal Mention Award
Congratulating GGS Grade DP1 student Vinayak Singla for being awarded the Verbal Mention Award at the recently conducted IPSC MUN 2021 held at Bk Birla Centre Of Education, Pune.Around 30 schools participated in the 3-day event with multiple committees like Lok Sabha, UNHRC, ITU, WWF, etcOther participants from Genesis were Kushagra Jain(UNHRC), Devika Bansal(LS & RS) & Gargi Raina(UNHRC).
Top Achievers
Delighted to share results of the 8th batch of March 2021 series. 73.68% of the batch has achieved A and A* in Global Perspective (0457) with Vinayak Singla emerging as the Top Achiever.78.94% of the batch attainted A and A* in Hindi as a Second Language (0549).Top Achievers being Shashwat Rana, Shresth Panigrahi and Vanshaj Gaur.
6th Rank in under 15 Squash
Proud of GGS Grade 9 Student Abhiraj Singh for ranking 6th in India in under 15 (Boys) category as per Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI)* ranking.*SRFI is the Indian governmental apex body for the game of squash. It conducts the National Squash Championship, and promotes the game through the state level squash bodies, and provides training facilities and selects the squad for the Indian team.
Asian Education Awards
Congratulating team member, Ms. Monika Kala – PYP coordinator for being appreciated for her contributions in education by the Asian Education Awards. She received her certificate in the Category: “Contribution towards Education Society” at the Asian Education Award conference 2021.* Asia’s Education Awards 2021 has been established to bring together the educational institutions of Asia which strive to make a change in the society by imparting knowledge and educating millions of individuals. It celebrates the success & rewards the exceptional contributors to the education fraternity.
IB DP School Topper
GGS is delighted to share the results of IB DP May 2021 batch with the highest grade points of 43 being achieved by the batch topper Aditya Arjun Anibha and the batch average going up to reach 34 points this year.Our heartily congratulations to all our students and the DP academic team for such impressive results even though we faced so many challenges regarding the teaching and learning process for this batch. The dedication, commitment and hard work of the team did not let us wait for long to see such great achievements!
Coding and Design Championship
Congratulating! MYP 3 students Kritagya Gupta and Aarav Prasad who have secured the winning position in Coding and Cimrin Bahrey who has secured a winning position in Graphic Designing at the Regional Level – North & East in Design Championship*, an initiative by MindBox and India’s Biggest National Design Championship*.Also congratulating, Aria Tripathi of Grade 2, for winning the Regional Championship in Game Design in her age category. Excitement will continue as Aria ,Kritagya, Aarav and Cimrin now gear up for the Nationals.*Since its inception in 2014, Design Championship has seen more than 80,000 participants across India, built 5000+ Games, 1000+ Movies, 2000+ Graphics, 500+ Apps, and 1000+ Industrial Design. 2020 was the ‘Year of Change’, this year – Design Championship has provided students an Online platform to showcase their Design Skills and compete at the National Level.
