On Screen Principal meets the Off Screen Principal

Rahul Singh a budding actor, who recently appeared in Delhi Belly and played the Role of a Principal in Stanley ka Dabba, visited Genesis Global School on 4th Aug’11. He made a strong debut in Zubeida, a debut strong enough to be nominated for a national award. He is also a writer, having penned the Dialogues for movies such as Kaante.

The Children who recently saw him on the Silver screen were thrilled at meeting him in person in the School premises. They had a lot to ask him starting from his days in Mayo College, Ajmer where he was student of Mr. Pramod Sharma (former Principal Mayo, and presently Director- Genesis Global School) to his college days at St. Xavier’s, Mumbai. During his college days he directed 50 street plays and was initiator of a theatre group “Jagrut”.

Mr. Sharma and Rahul Singh shared fond memories of their days at Mayo College with all the Children. He recollected Rahul Singh as a student who participated actively in theatre and was always keen on bringing something new to the Stage.

Rahul Singh encouraged children to chase their dreams and work hard to turn them into reality. He emphasized that Genesis Global School has great resources and provides ample opportunities to explore one’s potential in life. At Genesis, Mr. Tom Alter and Mr. Stephen Marazzi are regular visitors who conduct theatre workshops which are indeed a profound learning experience for the Students. Mr. Rahul Singh’s visit was an extension of the School’s effort at building resources in Theatre.
